Current Conditions: A powerhouse ridge of high pressure continues to bring very hot and dry conditions across the region. Temperatures this afternoon are surpassing the century mark in many areas. Because the air is not very moist, ozone levels are only moving into the lower code ORANGE levels, and PM 2.5 levels will average in the code ORANGE range as well. Rather warm again tonight with PM 2.5 levels remaining in code ORANGE territory with temperatures only dropping into the lower to middle 70s. *** Wednesday’s forecast: Sunshine for the most part Wednesday with the heat continuing. Afternoon temperatures will again get close to 100 degrees with poor air quality. Ozone and PM 2.5 levels will continue to be in the lower code ORANGE range. PM 2.5 levels will be the highest during the morning hours, with a little mixing in the afternoon.
