Tomorrow’s Forecast
Wednesday, Jun 8: 115 AQI Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups Ozone

Extended Forecast
Thursday, Jun 9: 107 AQI Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups Ozone

Current Conditions: Humidity levels are on the upswing across the region this Tuesday afternoon. Fine particulate has come down a bit early this afternoon, but levels will average in the moderate range overall today. There has been sufficient sunshine to manufacture ozone, which will go into the code ORANGE range in a few locations. Temperatures will rise into the middle and upper 80s. A frontal boundary remains not too far to our east, which means there is the chance for a thunderstorm to pop up late this afternoon into this evening. Muggy tonight with a clear to partly cloudy sky. Lows in the middle 60s with moderate levels of PM2.5. *** Wednesday’s forecast: We are declaring an air quality action day for Wednesday. With a good deal of sunshine, temperatures in the lower to middle 90s, minimal chances for thunderstorms, and light winds, code ORANGE ozone levels are probable. Fine particulate will also go well into the moderate range. Clear to partly cloudy, warm and muggy again Wednesday night with lows only near 70. *** Extended forecast: A cold front will approach the region Thursday night. Out ahead of this front, another day with poor air quality is possible, with possible code ORANGE ozone levels as well as those for fine particulate. Highs will again rise to between 90 and 95 degrees.
